Trump got all those nerds to meet him
Donald Trump held his tech industry shindig overnight and there's not a lot of info about what exactly was discussed. Here's a video of Trump's "thanks for being here" intro, where he went on about how he wants to make the attendees jobs easier so they can make more money. After the event, none of the invited people have commented. Elon Musk was there, Tim Cook, Satya Nadella, Jeff Bezos, Larry Page and a bunch of others - including Trump's kids, again (ugh). Jack Dorsey wasn't invited because, allegedly, Twitter wouldn't take Trump's cash for a sponsored hashtag during the election campaign.

Uber launches self driving car service in San Francisco, told to stop by DMV same day
Uber (who's CEO couldn't make it to the Trump-tech-lovefest) started giving San Francisco customers rides in self-driving cars, like in Pittsburgh. A few hours later the Californian DMV told Uber to stop as it hasn't got a permit to do that. Of course, Uber doesn't give a shit about the law and will keep on doing it, because there's a driver in the front seat which Uber reckons doesn't make the car fully autonomous. Here's a video of one of Uber's self driving cars in SF driving through a red light, hah. CNN and The Verge went for a ride in one.

Yahoo's shit security lead to 1 billion accounts compromised in 2013
Yahoo has uncovered another security breach, dating from 2013, that allowed the account details of over 1 billion customers to fall into the hands of a hacker. From Yahoo's statement, the info now out in the wild includes: "names, email addresses, telephone numbers, dates of birth, hashed passwords (using MD5) and, in some cases, encrypted or unencrypted security questions and answers." - hashed MD5 passwords are weak as piss, so yeah, nice one Yahoo. Also, Yahoo has 1 billion accounts?!

Amazon completes first pilotless drone delivery in the UK
Amazon made its first fully autonomous drone delivery to a customer in Cambridge in the UK. Sure, it's a stunt, and all they delivered was a Fire TV stick and a bag of popcorn, but mark this date down as a turning point for when all the delivery drivers started to lose their jobs. It took 13 minutes from when the order was placed until the delivery was completed. After some recent experiences I've had with couriers lately, drone delivery can't come soon enough. Here's a little promo video of this "historic" event.
